Frequently Asked Questions — Spanish Courses in Denia

How many students are in a Spanish class in Denia?

Maximum 10 students per class. Denia is one of our smaller, more intimate destinations on the Costa Blanca — a charming coastal town between Valencia and Alicante with a beautiful harbour, a Moorish castle, and a relaxed Mediterranean pace of life that makes immersion feel effortless.

When can I start a Spanish course in Denia?

Every Monday, year-round for all levels; fixed starting dates for absolute beginners. Denia is particularly popular from April through October when the Costa Blanca is at its sunny best. It is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to combine serious Spanish learning with genuine beach and coastal lifestyle.

What accommodation is available in Denia?

Homestay with local families is the primary accommodation option in Denia, and it works particularly well here — the town is small enough that host families and the school are typically within easy walking distance of each other. This close-knit environment accelerates language learning significantly.

Is Denia a good choice if I want a quieter, more relaxed experience than a big city?

Denia is specifically the right choice for this. If Barcelona or Madrid feels overwhelming, or if you want to focus entirely on your Spanish without the distraction of a big city, Denia delivers exactly that. It is a real Spanish town where locals go about their daily lives — markets, fishing boats, evening paseos along the harbour — and where you will be part of the community rather than just passing through.

What is there to do around Denia during free time?

The Montgó natural park with hiking trails above the town, the Denia castle with views over the Mediterranean, boat trips to the Cabo de la Nau and the Javea coast, and easy access by train or bus to Valencia (1.5 hours) and Alicante (1 hour). The surrounding Costa Blanca villages — Jávea, Moraira, Calpe — are among the most beautiful on the Spanish Mediterranean coast and easily reachable for weekend day trips.
