Frequently Asked Questions — Spanish Courses in Palma de Mallorca

How many students are in a Spanish class in Palma de Mallorca?

Maximum 10 students per class, guaranteed. The school is located in Palma's historic centre, in a 16th-century building close to the emblematic Palma Cathedral — small classes mean you speak Spanish every lesson, and the historic setting makes the experience memorable from the moment you walk in.

When can I start a Spanish course in Palma de Mallorca?

Every Monday, year-round. Mallorca is an excellent year-round destination — mild winters make it particularly attractive for January to March courses when the rest of northern Europe is cold, and warm summers are ideal for combining morning classes with afternoon beach time. Spring is the most popular season, so book early if you are planning an April or May course.

What accommodation is available in Palma de Mallorca?

Homestay with local Mallorcan families and shared student apartments, both generally between 10 and 20 minutes from the school by public transport. Most host families live in apartments — individual houses are rare in Palma — but most have a balcony or terrace. They provide breakfast and optional dinner, and bed linen, towels and basic laundry service are included. Shared apartments are available if you prefer more independence, with a private bedroom and shared living room, bathroom and kitchen.

Is Mallorca only worth visiting in summer or does it work year-round for a Spanish course?

Mallorca is genuinely excellent year-round for language students, and in some ways the quieter months are better for immersion. In winter and early spring, Palma belongs almost entirely to locals — the tourist crowds are gone, prices are lower, and your day-to-day experience in the city is far more authentically Spanish. Many students deliberately choose November through March for exactly this reason.

What can I do in Mallorca during free time after Spanish classes?

The island offers an extraordinary range. Palma itself has world-class museums, a stunning Gothic cathedral, a vibrant restaurant scene, and a harbour that comes alive in the evenings. Beyond the city, the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) offers spectacular hiking, the beaches of the east and north coast are among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, and the island's charming inland villages — Valldemossa, Deià, Sóller — are easily reachable by bus or train for afternoon and weekend excursions.
