Frequently Asked Questions — Spanish Courses in Sevilla

How many students are in a Spanish class in Sevilla?

Maximum 10 students per class. The school is located right in the heart of Seville's beautiful city centre, within walking distance of the Cathedral, the Alcázar and the iconic Santa Cruz neighbourhood — which means the city becomes part of your learning experience from Day 1.

When can I start a Spanish course in Sevilla?

Every Monday, year-round. Sevilla is Europe's warmest city and works beautifully in winter (October–March) when temperatures are mild and the city belongs to the locals rather than tourists. Summer (June–August) is very hot — above 40°C is common — but the school is air-conditioned and evenings are lively and social.

What accommodation is available in Sevilla?

Homestay with local Sevillian families is the most popular option and gives you the most authentic immersion experience. Shared student apartments are also available. The city centre is compact so most accommodation is within easy walking distance of the school.

Is Sevilla a good destination for the Feria de Abril or Semana Santa?

Absolutely — if you can time your course to coincide with either festival, do it. Semana Santa (Holy Week, March/April) and the Feria de Abril (two weeks after Easter) are two of the most spectacular events in Spain. The school and city come alive in a way that is impossible to describe — and your Spanish will improve dramatically simply from the social immersion of those weeks. Book on time!

Is Sevilla suitable for older learners and the 55+ programme?

Sevilla is one of our top recommendations for 55+ students. The pace of life suits a more relaxed approach to immersion, the city is walkable and safe, the food and culture are extraordinary, and the Sevillian people are famously warm and welcoming. The winter months particularly suit this age group — perfect temperatures, no crowds, and a genuine local atmosphere.
